This term in art, starfish are learning what Chiaroscuro means and using this in their art.
Chiaroscuro comes from the italy with the meaning of light and dark. Often a drawing or painting may be described as using chiaroscuro when there is dramatic light and shade and that is the main feature of the image.
Starfish have used masking tape to mark their intials and then using charcol, cotton wool and a rubber to create light and shade.
This is an excellent start to this terms art and we can't wait to see the final results!
