Should we need to close the school due to snow or extreme weather conditions the following procedure is intended to clarify the arrangements. Whenever possible we will do our utmost to keep the school open but for safety reasons it is not always possible to do so. Any decision taken to close the school will be communicated to parents and quickly and efficiently as possible.
We will alert parents by:
- Sending a text message and email
- Publishing a post on the homepage of our school website
- Alerting local radio stations – Breeze (105.5 FM), Radio Devon (95.7 FM), Heart Torbay (96.4 FM)
We will monitor the situation daily and repeat the process each morning if the school needs to remain closed. Please DO NOT call the school office for confirmation.
Where severe weather occurs during the school day, parents will be contacted directly by the school via a text message (please make sure the office kept informed of any change to your telephone numbers). In this rare instance it may be necessary for parents to collect their children.
We hope this information is helpful, should the situation arise. If you have any questions regarding this then please call us on 01803 327419 or pop in and see us.
