All about WWII day and the Mayans!

Brace yourself for lots of pictures of our learning! We have had a very busy week: we celebrated the end of our history topic with a WWII dress up day, during which we experienced air raids and had to shelter to safety, got to make chocolate spread out of potatoes and cocoa powder and experienced being chosen by host families (played by members of staff) as evacuees! Our grown ups came into our classroom at the end of the day to have a look at our posters and some of them were brave enough to try our WWII chocolate spread and biscuits!

Following such an exciting day, on Wednesday we were introduced to our new history topic, all about the Mayans! Clive Pig, a brilliant historian and story teller, took us back to Mayans times, with his stories, souvenirs and plays.

Have a good weekend and read at home, reads numbers could still improve in Starfish!
