Reception- Word hunts, tadpoles and Comic Relief!

This week in Reception we were very excited to find we had something new in our classroom- a tank filled with frogspawn! Over the week we have watched as the frogspawn has hatched and we now have lots of tadpoles! We have been learning all about the frog life cycle and have written all about it!

On Wednesday we had a word hunt in the garden, hunting for the high frequency words we have been learning. Once we found a word, we had to read it to our partner, and our partner had to read it to us, before we ticked it off our word hunt list. The winners found 21 words!

Friday was Comic Relief Day and we celebrated by wearing something red and playing with lots of red-themed activities. We especially enjoyed the red nose day playdough and bright red spaghetti! Another busy week in Reception!
