This week in Forest School the Reception children found some fungi that had grown since our last visit! The children were excited to think fairies and imps may have been using the fungi to sit on! We learnt that while some fungi is okay to eat- like the mushrooms we buy at the supermarket, other fungi can make our tummies very sore. We reminded ourselves of our Forest School rule- ‘no picking, no licking!’

During the afternoon we had a go at drawing the fungi we had seen using charcoal and chalk. We created some very good pictures!

Also at Forest School this week we painted, played in the mud kitchen, hunted for anacondas and explored a new part of the river! Such fun!
