Dolphins have been busy.
This week we have been to Brunel woods, found out about the different seasons, started our Andy Goldsworthy learning and looked at why the woods are named after someone called Brunel.
In literacy, we are looking at the story about ‘Anna’s Amazing Multi-coloured Glasses’, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkyFkhd7jV4&t=5s and looking at what a sentence is; a collection of words that make sense, start with a capital letter, has finger spaces between words and finishes with a full stop. https://www.roythezebra.com/english-ks1/reading-games/does-it-make-sense/play-1/
In maths, we are learning about the hundred square and recognising numbers within 100. We know “thir” means 3, “fif” means 5 and “tw” is 2. We know that 100 squares have columns and rows of numbers that follow a repeateing pattern 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. We know numbers that begin with a one, are naughty teen numbers and numbers that end with a zero are ‘ty’ or tens numbers.
