Chocolate Rocks!

Last week, we started our new Science topic off by making Chocolate Rocks. We will be learning about how rocks are made, the 3 different types of rocks (igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic) and how fossils are formed. We will be using chocolate to explain the rock cycle which the children are already excited about of course!

Seahorses and Lobsters went to Stover Country Park to start their new Science topic – Living Things and their Habitats. We had a lovely day looking at the different habitats there, mini-beast hunts and watching greedy squirrels! We had a great day and can’t wait to learn more…

Safer Internet Day in Seahorses.

Seahorses have been busy talking about how to stay safe on the internet this week. We focused on giving consent, giving out personal information and were given some top tips to stay safe. The children made some posters to encourage people to stay safe but also have fun.

To start our new Science topic of Light and Sound off, Seahorses and Lobsters had the pleasure of learning how to make shadow puppets and putting on a performance. We all had lots of fun and are excited to learn more…

Rotten Romans

Last week, Seahorses and Lobsters received a letter from a historian in London asking them to help. He sent us some Roman artefacts and has asked us to research about their way of life and find out about one of strongest armies in the world. The children are very enthusiastic about becoming historians for the next half term!
